Do you accept insurance?  Basically, no.  No insurance pays for a doctor to spend the time we do, hours on end on prevention and diet, exercise, hormonal optimization and so on.  Neither for a doctor with the expertise and qualifications have we in this integrative, cutting edge field of medicine.  Lastly, insurances need a diagnosis, or a sickly diagnosis (code), to cover your bill.  Instead, we believe in optimizing your health before disease starts, not a novel idea to us, but is so to the insurance industry.  They’re in the business of maximizing profits to the shareholders and administrators, and charging the highest premiums they can get away with.  (You also pay for the other policyholders that aren’t healthy).  Fees are usually tax deductible or even pre-tax.

WE may provide you with a “Superbill” (Receipt) to file to your insurance and get what they will reimburse.  This amount refunded will depend on your insurance and we cannot vouch for them, of course.  (A lot of our patients don’t want the insurance plans to know what their personal health information is for fear that they will raise their premium or drop them.  (This is a shame, as you should be commended for being proactive about your health, but they look at the extensive labs we order and figure there must be a lot off).

We do have a money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied or helped by the things we recommend. (That would be for my fees, not the lab work fees). And, almost all the time, medical expenses are tax deductible, and/or come out of your Medical Savings Account. What does the Evaluation include?  See the SERVICES SECTION on the homepage, www.unisonproyouth.com.  Basically, the evaluation is as it states. It includes your lab work and the drawing of such at a convenient time and place for you.  The lab alone retails for over what the whole package costs. And includes the extensive, in-depth, personalized consultation time with me, in person or via phone whichever works for you, and the package you chose. This usually includes only “well issues” as diet, exercise, review of all labs, and recommendations based on such, supplement and hormonal recommendations. 

Here we basically tell you what we found wrong and what can be done to help correct it.  It does not include any prescriptions at all or address of sick issues. If you agree with what we recommend, and want to join our program, that’s your free choice, see below.  (If you join, then Rx’s are written as recommended, as we will then be following these parameters on an ongoing basis as they need to be to insure safety and efficacy).  You will get a detailed email and regular mail summary, a copy of all the data and what we found and recommend.  Also, you may get a SuperBill to keep for your taxes or to file insurance if desired.  You can do with this as you like, it’s yours. If requested, we will also send a copy to your regular doctor.

What happens once I sign up for an Evaluation?  You will get notified by email or phone by Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, 1-888-YOUNGER.  You will then get a Fedexed packet explaining things in detail, along with an 18 page Questionnaire to fill out about yourself.  The “Portamedic” will call you to arrange your blood draw at a time and place convenient for you. It is FASTING, nothing to eat or drink, besides water after 9PM the night before.

It takes about a week to get the results in.  At that time, we will call you to arrange your evaluation with us.  The details being in your packet, or in the SERVICES SECTION on the website, www.unisonproyouth.com.  Any further questions, again, call the office, your satisfaction is our number one priority!

What are the Maintenance Fees for, I never had to pay this before?!  It can run from $1495 per six months (depending on your level of intensity you need), and you can cancel at any time with a thirty day notice. These fees are for the follow up, behind the scenes work, and the follow up consultations we will have about your ongoing program. Much like the fees you pay other Professionals, your lawyer, accountant, pest control, pool guy, etc.  No two individuals are the same, have the same goals, react the same to what we do, and behaves the same.  The program is personalized just for you.  So, there is research going on, phone calls from you about things, emails, and the like that we are available to answer in an immediate and most credible way. 

Once you start a program, we will likely redraw labs (additional fee) in a few months to see where we’re going with things. We will call you up once those labs are in, and discuss at length about your program, again, diet, exercise, mood, compliance, barriers, what we need to increase or decrease depending on what we discuss and the lab results.  This does take a lot of more time and effort on our part, but we try to make it as comfortable as we can. 

We try to fix your fees, as a car lease so that you’re not surprised at your bill.  There is no gimmick here as unnecessary lab-work, images, procedures and such done to cost shift. And it costs less than any insurance plan out there; you’re best insurance plan is to have optimal health in the first place, right?  And here, you’re not shuffled through a six minute time slot and seen by a nurse or such lower trained “provider.”

You’re actually paying a discounted rate for the time and expertise we give, as we could charge more by seeing ten patients an hour as most other doctors have to do today.  We don’t believe in that, and you deserve more. There’s also no need to “come in each six weeks” for an obligatory well visit just to charge you more fees as other traditional offices perform. You’re staying well, here!

So what are my Fees likely to be after the Evaluation, should I join up?  The Fees above for the Professional Maintenance Fees may run from $1495 up per six months depending on the complexity.   Add to that, Supplements are optional, but highly recommended, but can run about $100 per month.  Testosterone or HCG for a man can run about $100 per month.  Hormonal Creams can run about $100 per month for women.  HGH can vary, about $250 on up per month.  Note that not all patients are on or need all that, so your costs may be higher or lower, again, no two patients are the same.  (We do supply only supplements that are GMP Certified and Pharmaceutical Grade quality.  And we do have a price match guarantee for any product of the same quality and ingredients).

Repeat labs generally run about $500, depending on what’s being measured or tested. That includes the drawing fee. The first repeat labs are in about three months from the start, the second, about six months from that. Then usually once per year once we know what works best for you. This does vary on what’s being done, how you respond, levels and value changes, but that’s generally the case.

Are there any discounts?  We do adjust fees for couples, or immediate family members in most cases.  This is because of treating the couple is easier than two separate people because of the shared lifestyle, diet, exercise and such.  We do this also to help lower your fees, as most of the time, once one spouse gains so much, we naturally often see the other spouse wanting the same outcomes.

Also, you will get a discount of at least 10% on all of out Aesthetic Products and Services, including Botox, Restylane, Peels, Laser Treatments, and so on, ask for details.

We also may offer professional discounts on some things, though rarely because of federal laws.  If there is an unforeseen financial burden that occurs, we will try to assist you the best we can during those times.

When do I have to come back in? What does that cost?  Generally, we are dealing with wellness issues only, per your agreement.  No “sick” issues are specifically intended to be diagnosed or treated. We optimize your health, instead and help avoid you getting sick.

A once per year Re-Evaluation is recommended. This is mostly not as intense as the first evaluation and can take about an hour on the average.  Again, this can vary, we will accommodate your special situation and time needed as you or we may see fit. We like to time this about the same time as an annual lab draw so that we can give you a special package price.  Because of such variance on lab items tested and time needed, the price can also vary, but most of the time runs $1295 on up. This includes the lab and draw, and a one hour consultation via phone, email or in person, whichever is best for you.  You may need more depending on your goals and needs. As the initial evaluation, just the lab-work done retails for well over that.
